Deep Look at the Industrial Development of Spiral Separators

In recent years, the manufacturing of spiral separator especially the spiral chute separator has made much progress in the mining machinery industry and will form a large industry scale in no time. Chinese manufacturers making spiral separators now are confronted with big challenges because they are poor at the capability of independent innovation and lack the proprietary intellectual property rights. China’s manufacturing enterprise technology and raw materials are mostly introduced from the foreign countries. The latest research report of the national soft science project shows that the disadvantage of the domestic spiral separators is the excess production capacity of low-end products, namely lacking competitive high-end products.

Details in the report say that the production technology of the wind turbine generators’ blades comes from abroad. For example, the domestic companies can produce Raymond mill only based on the foreign standard and the raw materials have to be imported, showing no positivity of independent research and development. Chinese manufacturers haven’t grasped many core technologies adopted during the process of the blades’ pilot development, design and manufacturing, as well as the production of mining devices and equipment. In addition, enterprises overseas have gone down to make further research and development on new issues including how to increase the utilization of wind energy and how to extend products’ service life effectively. However, we Chinese manufacturers haven’t thought about these ideas and fields at all.

The report also clearly tells us the reasons that cause the following problems facing domestic industries. There are four reasons: 1, the production standard of making blades of spiral separators formulated by the government standard committee is still in the process of drawing without receiving the recognition of several foreign nations. 2, the domestic scientific research institution is unable to meet the increasing demand of manufacturers. 3, most enterprises, research institutions and industrial departments are too eager to gain success resulted from the driving of benefits, they are not willing to be dedicated to the long term and hard basic research, so they don’t have enough capability to undertake the huge risk. 4, the poor developing situation of the domestic basic industry still exists.

Only by overcoming the above problems can Chinese spiral separator manufactures win a large piece of share in the global market.
